Gabriel Muhuwa works as an academician in the Department of Rural Development and Regional Planning of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. He is a project planning and management expert with 4+ years of experience as a researcher, trainer, and consultant in the field of project management in various fields, not limited to Proposal Development, Qualitative & Quantitative data collection and analysis, Resource Mobilization, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Strategic Planning. He is also undertaking a PMP certification course at Project Management Institute (PMI) to broaden his technical skills related to project management.

The main research and academic interests are in project sustainability, community participation, climate change adaptation and mitigation, gender equality, Participatory appraisal, inclusion, access and utilization of energy as well as agricultural development.
