Work Experience

Matrida Quiyenga works as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Regional Development planning at the Institute of Rural Development Planning. She is a holder of Bachelor Degree in Regional Development Planning and Masters of Research and Public Policy. She is a development planner with 10 years of experience as a researcher, trainer and consultant demonstrating great abilities in the field of local and regional planning, research, public policy analysis and development as well as the field of Monitoring and Evaluation.


Professional Skills

  • Potential skills on research, data collection (FGDs, KIIs and household survey), data entry, processing, analysis, presentation of research findings and report writing.
  • Great ability on Policy Analysis and Development.
  • Experience in Preparation of The Social Economic Profiles for different district and Institutions.
  • Data analysis skills using quantitative and qualitative data analysis software (SPSS, Atlas.ti; Stata, R and QDA Miner Lite)
  • Great competence on conducting monitoring and evaluation of different development intervention. Eg. Final Evaluation of the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Project in Karatu and Longido districts implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Tanzania
  • Consultancy and Advisory Skills in the field of planning and policy.
  • Experience on Participatory Approaches in Services Delivery, Monitoring and Evaluation of development projects.
