Work Experience

Stephen Method Lugaimukamu works as an Assistant lecturer in the Department of Development Finance and Management Studies of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. He is a Computer Scientist with 6+ years of experience as a researcher, trainer, and consultant in the field of ICT and mobile data collection protocol. As an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Development Finance and Management Studies, he teaches various courses, including Management of Information Systems, ICT and Management Information Systems, and Data Analysis for Development Planners.


Professional Skills

  • Experienced in Multidimensional Poverty Assessment Tool (MPAT) in areas of Tanzania and Malawi using modern data collection tools including Survey Solution.
  • Designing online mobile data collection platforms using the most current technologies, i.e. Survey Solutions and KoboToolbox.
  • Experience in different programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and C
  • Experienced in the use and applications of statistical packages such as SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and Stata 
     


Research and academic Interests

My main research and academic interests are in computer science engineering, information security, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
