Work Experience

Janeth Daudi Migamba (B. Arts Gender & Development and MA (Development Studies) works as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Population Studies of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. She has been a trainer in two main areas which are gender and development studies for at least six years now. Among others, Janeth is an expert in the fields of Gender Concepts, Gender Analysis Frameworks, Development Theory, Development Policy Analysis and Practice, Poverty Analyses for Development, Development Planning and Practice, Women and Society, Gender and Leadership, Population Theories with Gender Perspectives; Gender, Family and Empowerment, Gender in Health Issues, Gender and Organisational Changes, etc.


Professional Skills

  • Teaching courses on gender development, human rights, supervising research, invigilation, marking examinations, other administrative works, preparing different reports, evaluation, etc.
  • Counselling on family planning, HIV awareness, value of life, awareness on entrepreneurship, communicating with youths and other stakeholders include government officials on gender and development activities, etc.
  • Conducting outreach programs on youths, women and marginalised community on behaviour change as a gender Activist and family planning plus entrepreneurship activities.
  • Conducting outreach programs on human rights, gender issues, like gender based violence’s, etc


Research and academic Interests

Main research and academic interest is on gender issues, Women leadership and development.
