Mawazo Hezechiel Baruti works as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Development Finance and Management Studies of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. He is a professional Accountant with 10+ years of experience as a researcher, trainer and consultant in the field of accounting and finance. He is also a registered Graduate Accountant by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors of Tanzania
Professional Skills
Application of accounting principles and standards e.g. IAS and IFRS, producing financial reports that are aligned with accounting standards, knowledge of the International Standards of Auditing (ISAs), conducting auditing assignments by ISAs, financial analysis and interpretation, financial management and tax-related matters.
Research and academic Interests
My main research and academic interests are in Financial Reporting, Corporate Governance and Auditing, Banking and Corporate Finance, Bank Accounting and Regulation, Microfinance, Accessibility of Financial Services, Electronic business, Working Capital Management, Mobile Money, Capital Markets, Taxation and CSR.
